Dear Wanderers of the Night! For October, I will release an episode a day! Please enjoy this preview of the first half of The Yellow Wallpaper, which will conclude in the first week of October. This short story delves into madness, but it begins with excellent, light-hearted writing; I very much admire this author's style. Sweet Dreams await!
In the first half of *The Yellow Wallpaper* by Charlotte Perkins Gilman, a woman suffering from nervous troubles is brought to a secluded house by her physician husband for rest and recovery. Confined to an upstairs room with barred windows and hideous yellow wallpaper, she’s forbidden from writing or engaging her mind. As her isolation grows, she becomes increasingly fixated on the wallpaper’s strange, chaotic patterns, sensing something unsettling beneath its surface.
